How to play Tetris
- Use the left and right buttons to move the falling block.
- Rotate it to fit the gap you want.
- Drop it when it is in place. Fill a whole row to clear it.
- Clear the number of lines shown in the title.
How it gets harder
The first level asks for two lines. Each level adds one, up to six, and the blocks fall faster.
Tips
- Keep the surface flat. Tall towers and deep holes are what end a round.
- Leave one column open at the edge for long pieces.
Playing Tetris as a family
Adults usually know this one already, which makes it a fair place to give a child a head start.
Tetris is also one of the thirteen games in the Brainpilates daily mix. On days it comes up, everyone plays the same board, and you can send your result to someone as a challenge to beat.
